Mandarin B

 

This class is a continuation of Mandarin A. Students will develop basic conversational skills and proficiency in reading and writing of 200 Chinese characters. This course is designed to help students to further gain mastery of basic Mandarin Chinese speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, as well as the cultural context in which they are used. Course focus is on communicative competence and accuracy. Students will learn how to greet people, express basic needs in daily life, and much more. The relationship between language and culture will be equally stressed throughout, as this class will be run almost entirely in Mandarin.
